Photographing strangers can feel intrusive. You're stepping into someone else's world often without permission. But these images aren’t about catching people off guard, they’re about noticing how people interact with and move through their surroundings in the hopes of telling a more complete story of a place.
It helps me to think like an attendant. To attend is to care—as flight attendants aren’t just present, they’re responsible for the people around them. It’s not enough just to be there with my camera. I want to treat the people I photograph with a sense of care and respect whether they notice me or not. To attend to something is about paying attention: noticing things that might otherwise go unseen.
This series is a reminder to look closely, to move slowly, and to see everyday life as something worth honoring.
